grace is 1 week old!

Grace is now one week old and doing great. She went to see the doc this week, and now weighs in at 5 lbs 6 oz! She is going to fit into all of her cute new clothes in no time! I'm recovering well with a lot of help from my Mom (now also called Mommom). She is trying hard to keep me confined to the couch, which is very hard. But the sooner I get better, the sooner I will be able to take Grace outside for walks. Speaking of walks...Floyd is doing pretty good adjusting to the new baby. He is needing a bit more attention than normal, especially to eat and drink. (He seems to be forgetting about these important functions lately). I think he is doing it just to get our attention....we all now how smart he really is. :-)

Spongebath

As soon as the umbilical cord falls off we can give her a real one. Until then this is how it's done.

Grace's best friend

Here are a few pics from the weekend. Floyd has devoted his life to making sure that he gets nearly as much attention as Grace does. It's kind of like a guy with no legs racing against the Bolt, but we still love him.

We had some more visitors this weekend. Grace is adjusting well to life outside to womb, she likes to sleep a lot and she has been making like 6 bowel movements a day, I'm so proud! She has also been doing a great job in attracting people to bring food to our house, which is completely awesome. Thanks so much to Rachel and the Muhley's for making sure we are well fed and to Riley for bringing some wine and cigars!

Day 2

The second day of Grace's life has been filled with cute little outfits, several hat changes, lots of eating, even more pooping (she had 5 BM's today, definitely taking after her father), reading books, and several hours of new parents just staring at this precious little person.

More pics are sure to follow tomorrow.

Sara is doing well, although really sore and swollen. She has made it vertical several times today and all in all moved about 40 feet. Hopefully she will be feeling good enough to change a diaper or two tomorrow, if not I'm pretty much a pro already.
